Position Title: Process Engineer
Snapshot of the role:
We are looking for a Process Engineer to assist in the implementation of Process Improvement projects, planning of the Central Kitchen Expansion project, support, and coordination of Japan FamilyMart Support Activities.
Process Optimization and AnalysisEvaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct time studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis to minimize waste and streamline operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions.Lead continuous improvement projects using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process improvements and monitor success.
Develop and execute action plans to address production bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
Quality and ComplianceEnsure processes comply with food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO certifications.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to uphold product quality and safety requirements.
Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations or quality issues and implement corrective actions.Project ManagementManage and execute improvement projects within defined timelines and budgets.
Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and cost-benefit analyses to management.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source equipment or materials needed for process improvements.Training and Knowledge SharingTrain staff on new processes, tools, and techniques to ensure smooth implementation.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving among team members.What you'll need to succeed:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, General Engineering, or a related field or equivalent.
Minimum 1-3 years of related experience; experience in the Food Industry is preferred.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficiency at the intermediate level (pivot, macro, power query, and other analysis tools).
Knowledge of Power BI and fluency in the Japanese language are added advantages.
Candidate must be willing to be based in Shah Alam.
