Job Purpose: Responsible for implementation of production processes and procedures, leading productivity improvements with project-based activities, including process optimization to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs and new product introduction.
Responsibilities: Monitor, enforce and comply with the site production procedures so that housekeeping, cGMP, quality, safety, occupational hygiene and environmental protection requirements are met to Support / facilitate self-inspections. Ensuring an optimal production efficiency by problem solving major production losses, finding the root causes, and designing the issue out in the shortest period possible, leading to no repeated problems occurring. The same skill set will be used to investigate the root causes of customer complaints – those found from the customer and those found during production, follow with identify and implement effective preventive actions.Once a problem solved, the knowledge will be documented in a production standard and trained to the operators, so they can develop team self-sufficiency.Direct and control the implementation of the ISCE Operation Excellence System for Production department.Co-ordinate for plant pre-audit preparation and ensure that timely closer of preventive and corrective action.Day to day activities shall leading and provides specialist advice to other departments and operators for:Trouble shooting / Investigate production and process issues using Fishbone diagram and track for CAPA actions closure and follow up on action effectiveness.Leading continuous improvements projects to processes/ systems providing technical support and training production team.Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout. Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements.Define user requirements and provide input to the project team of capital projects as well as support and develop improvement projects / activities in ensuring all product and system requirements are taken into account.Monitor and enforce compliance measures within production processes to ensure inspection readiness of plant, as well as participate as an audit team member in the conduct of audits. Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, or processes and systems.Requirement: MS/BS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemistry & Physics and other relevant qualification.At least 5 years engineering experience in the food or related manufacturing industryExperience of FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Kaizen/A3 (continuous improvement and problem solving) process improvement and Poka Yoke (error proofing) techniquesGood understanding of GMP and EHS requirementsGood team player, able to work independently, resourceful, willing to learn new skills with good initiatives.Strong communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written).Understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work is an added advantageous.
