About the roleA Process Technician needs to understand and fulfil the requirements of the scope of work provided by the company. Each Process Technician is responsible for ensuring the requirements and effectiveness of the management system are fully practiced by the company. Process technicians need to be knowledgeable in the technical field to ensure the operation of the plant meets the stipulated requirements. They should also have a positive attitude and initiative to move in tandem with the development of the company to become a world-class manufacturer. Process technicians should be able to work individually and in a team while being able to accept and execute the tasks as instructed.
Key responsibilitiesComply with and meet the company's policies and requirements.
Report to the Production Executive in shifts.
Report to DCS Technicians in the absence of a Production Executive on duty.
Ensure the processing plant, heating, and cooling processes are operated efficiently and safely.
Communicate with DCS Technician, Production Executive, Production Supervisor, and other technicians in coordinating tasks.
Conduct routine inspections and fill up the checklist around the processing plant.
Assist the Production Executive in taking samples for in-process, raw materials, and products as prescribed and deal with QC laboratory on sample delivery and testing.
Maintain and prepare added materials according to specified specifications.
Coordinate with Warehouse staff in receiving/producing raw materials and waste materials (VOR).
Ensure the processing plant and storage tank are operated efficiently, safely, and within the requirements of GMP.
Assist executives and supervisors in matters pertaining to safety and cleanliness in the plant.
Ensure compliance with the management system such as 5S, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, FSSC 2200, Halal, etc.
Be a part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) members in the shift.
Maintain work area cleanliness and assist with repair and troubleshooting work when necessary.
Learn and enhance knowledge in all aspects related to the operation of the processing plant.
Perform other work when directed or requested.
Qualifications and skillsGraduate from Vocational College, or Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, or SPM/SPMV, or 5 years of working experience.
Experience in a vegetable oil distillation plant would be an added advantage.
Able to work in a vegetable oil/manufacturing environment and willing to work in shifts.
Able to communicate and understand Bahasa Melayu.
Able to communicate and understand English is an added advantage.
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with common software such as Microsoft Office.#J-18808-Ljbffr
