Procurement Assistance

We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientedProcurement Assistantto join our team at Brightstar Computer Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. In this full-time role, you will support the procurement team by handling administrative tasks such as processing purchase orders (POs), creating item codes in the ERP system, and preparing procurement-related reports. Your contributions will ensure smooth procurement processes and help maintain efficient inventory management to support our operations as a leading IT hardware reseller.
What You'll Be Doing:
Procurement Coordination:Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials, products, and services required for retail operations.
Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders and requisitions accurately and in a timely manner.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and address any discrepancies or issues.
ERP System Management:Create and update item codes and other procurement-related data in the ERP system.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, inventory levels, and supplier details in the ERP system.
Reporting and Documentation:Prepare and submit procurement reports, including purchase summaries, cost analyses, and inventory updates, to the procurement manager.
Assist in tracking and analyzing key procurement performance metrics for continuous improvement.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Ensure all procurement activities are documented and properly filed for audit and compliance purposes.
Administrative Support:Provide general administrative support to the procurement team, such as managing communication with vendors and maintaining procurement files.
Assist in coordinating and organizing procurement meetings and supplier evaluations.
