The Procurement Executive's primary function is to explore new suppliers at a competitive price while meeting the business requirement.
This position focuses on interaction with suppliers for development, cost-saving initiatives, and long-term growth.
This position will require an understanding of the different types of market commodities and leveraging them to meet the requirements and growth of the company.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
General DutiesObserve the highest standard of integrity and ethical business practice while performing daily activities in sourcing and procurement activities.
Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation to stakeholders to meet performance expectations.
Identify market trends and develop long-term sourcing strategies in conjunction with business requirements.
Undertake other roles & responsibilities that are assigned by immediate superior from time to time until full closure.
SourcingIdentify and source potential suppliers for long-term business relationships to be parked under the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
Negotiate, evaluate, select, and maintain the best procurement package in terms of quality, cost, delivery lead time, and after-sales services.
Undertake cost-saving initiative projects and work with suppliers to meet the agreed targets and objectives.
Work with legal counsel to ensure all procurement-related contracts protect the legal interests of the company.
Compile and provide reports on procurement activities relating to budget and spending for respective business divisions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements to drive kaizen in the workplace.
Lead the supplier selection, qualification, and assessment process.
Participate in supplier development and performance audits.
Compile, measure, and manage supplier performance in terms of savings, payment terms, and service levels.
Requirements / Skillset:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years in a sourcing and procurement role.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in MRP / ERP systems.
Experience in launching a start-up company.
Experience in the localization process.
Extensive knowledge of supplier base and network.
Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
