As aProcurement Specialist , you will be responsible for managing the purchasing activities of the company, ensuring that goods and services are sourced and acquired in the most efficient, cost-effective, and timely manner.
You will work closely with various departments to understand their needs, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring the best quality, cost, and delivery terms.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet quality standards, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to determine purchasing requirements.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers, trends, and opportunities for cost savings.
Track procurement performance and provide reports on key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
Collaborate with other teams (e.g., finance, operations) to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar procurement or supply chain role.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
Must possess own transport.
