Job description: 1) Main duty: Identify and target potential customers within the life sciences sector across the assigned territories and leverage on existing databases. Build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by understanding their requirements, addressing concerns, and maintaining regular communication.
2) Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's life sciences products, including their features, applications, and benefits. Stay updated on research trends, competitor products, and scientific advancements to effectively position products as solutions to customer needs.
3) Generate regular sales reports and updates to track progress toward targets and goals. Analyse sales data to identify patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
4) Timely submission of forecasts, weekly reports, monthly highlights, and other related reports for defined territory to the reporting manager.
5) Maintain an organized and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
6) To develop and execute sales and marketing plans for assigned product / area categories ie seminar, workshops, tradeshows and promotions to network with potential customers and showcase products. Represent the company at various events to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
7) Regular and proactive updating of management on any new developments in the marketplace for example: competitor's behaviour, product issues, customer changes, wins or potential misses.
8) Gather market feedback and insights from customer interactions to identify emerging customer needs and industry trends to contribute to product and service improvements.
9) Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, procurement, and logistics to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
10) Advice on maintenance of inventory levels so that the company and customer expectations are met.
Requirements:
· Bachelors or master's in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical, Biochemistry, or related studies with prior research experience is preferable
· At least 2-3 years of sales experience in related field
· Independent and self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills, possess analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication skill
· Team player
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Must have own transport and willing to travel extensively within Malaysia
· To be based in Selangor
