OverviewWe are seeking a versatile Production Engineer with expertise in both Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and Power Supply production. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency and excellence across our electronics manufacturing processes. From capacity planning and lean manufacturing to testing, debugging, and failure analysis, this position offers a dynamic opportunity to impact both PCBA and power supply production lines.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrinted Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) Production: Plan and execute capacity and resource planning for PCBA production lines, ensuring optimal utilization of workforce, space, and tooling.Analyze and optimize workstation layouts and design for maximum efficiency and ergonomic effectiveness.Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to implement design changes and improvements.Utilize lean manufacturing methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve production cycle times.Estimate production times and create production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.Implement and evaluate proposed designs, ensuring manufacturability and scalability.Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and work instructions to comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Power Supply Production: Conduct testing routines and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of power supply units.Develop project plans and timelines for new product introductions and engineering change orders.Debug design prototypes on the bench, identify issues, and propose solutions.Generate details engineering reports documenting test results, design evaluations and recommendations.Perform failure analysis on returned units (RMA) and provide detailed root cause analysis reports.Validate power supply compatibility with server systems, including 12C and PMBus communication analysis.Conduct preliminary failure analysis (FA) on prototype and production units to identify design or manufacturing issues.Provide technical support to production labs, resolving issues related to assembly, testing, and quality control.Collaborate with cross-functional teams include design, manufacturing, and quality assurance to drive product improvements and resolve technical issues. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with minimum 3 years of working experience in electronics manufacturing environment.Proven experience in PCBA manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of production processes and equipment.Solid knowledge of production processes, capacity planning, resource allocation, and production scheduling.Hands-on experience with bench testing equipment and failure analysis techniques.Familiarity with server system architectures and communication protocols (e.g. 12C, PMBus)Practical experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, programmable AC sources, and DC loads is advantageous.Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g. Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in team environment.
