Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Full timeThe primary purpose of this position is to provide overall leadership, management, and administrative oversight to all functions within the Value Stream that support the day-to-day manufacturing operations to obtain a safe, efficient, productive, and economical manufacturing operation that meets or exceeds customer requirements. The Production Manager coordinates, communicates, and monitors the production plan ensuring objectives are met in a quality, cost-effective, and timely manner while following safety regulations and company policies/procedures. The Production Manager has accountability for the Value Stream.Adheres to Integer Core Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.Assure successful value stream results through monitoring, managing, and achieving the sales and profit targets defined by the business plan and the performance metrics established for the value stream.Work as a change agent for the lean manufacturing culture evolution, drive out waste in the manufacturing operation through the deployment of Lean methodology, increase the ratio of value to non-value, and eliminate waste in the overall supply chain from start to finish.In support of the self-directed value stream model, drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem-solving and decision-making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.Responsible for following designated Leader Standard Work, drive self-directed workflow and accountability within the VS by holding the VS team responsible for effectively following designated Standard Work.Track daily performance. Verify countermeasures and recovery plans are in place for missed targets.Ensure communication boards/tools are being used and maintained on a daily basis, adjusting as needed.Recommend and implement changes regarding production capability, tooling, machine replacement, and staffing to support production plans and cost-effective procedures, systems, tooling, equipment, etc. to continually improve manufacturing productivity.Coordinate and direct activities that respond to customer and market needs through appropriate internal contacts including sales, customer solutions, and/or organization leadership.Support new process/product development efforts and implementation.Assist with developing and implementing current and future state value stream maps and continuous improvement plans.Collaborate with functional support managers from Engineering and Quality to reduce downtime and improve overall process efficiency. Manage tooling, equipment maintenance, and other related production support efforts to meet established business objectives, i.e., efficiencies, utilization set-up reduction, short cycle manufacturing efforts, housekeeping, cost controls, new product introductions, product/process revisions, etc.Actively support the development and execution of Cost Improvement Programs to meet established business objectives or needs.Develop and foster open lines of communication to continually monitor employee attitudes and concerns and implement appropriate actions with input from Human Resources.Oversee requisitioning, placing, training, directing, appraising, promoting, disciplining, or other actions relating to the manufacturing operations employees assigned to the Value Stream.Coordinate planning, staffing, and development programs to support the shortage and long-range manufacturing plans.Assure the proper application of and compliance with established employee policies & procedures, wage and salary administration policies, and safety and health regulations. React accordingly if procedures are not being followed or violations are suspected. Lead investigations, with HR as support, to ensure a fair and consistent outcome every time.Provide coaching, information, ideas, feedback, and encouragement to employees to promote the growth and development of the value stream team.Assure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, maintain 5S standards, and emphasize the prevention of potential hazardous conditions. Address unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Conduct safety training for employees. Report accidents in a timely manner and participate in accident investigations as required.Perform other special assignments as assigned or needed.Ability to analyze, understand, and effectively communicate deep technical material.Ability to work in a demanding user environment.Performs other duties as required.Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business Operations/Administration or Engineering; an MBA is a plus.Seven (7) years previous manufacturing experience or equivalent in a precision machining medical device industry or related industry.Excellent human relation, communication (written & verbal), presentation & interpersonal skills required.Ability to establish and maintain multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.A self-motivated leader with a positive attitude and ability to influence the organization to achieve desired results.Promotes teamwork and collaboration.Engages, inspires, and motivates.Inspires trust and fosters open communications.Quickly and effectively resolves conflict.Builds and sustains relationships.Actively listens to others.Drives for results.Fact-based problem solving.How do your skills match this job?
