Responsibilities:
Monitor overall production efficiency (i.e.
yield, rejection, and wastage) based on targets set.
Ensure all operating parameters are strictly adhered to according to specifications.
Ensure production practices are in accordance with SOP.
Ensure products are produced on time, according to product specifications, fulfilling requirements for food safety and quality.
Ensure production setup time meets target set.
Ensure all machines, equipment, and utensils operate according to specifications to avoid downtime.
Troubleshoot non-conformances and rectify issues encountered.
Study and set new targets for productivity, product yield, rejection, and wastage for continuous improvement.
Propose and implement improved processes for cost saving, capacity increase, product quality enhancement, and operating efficiency improvement.
Conduct standard time studies for each process and set targets.
Monitor daily production capacity versus manpower available to ensure optimum production.
Develop work instructions for manpower allocation and target capacity for each process.
Work with other departments on new product/process implementations in mass production runs.
Monitor and ensure production operates under required hygiene and sanitation standards.
Participate in internal or external audits and ensure production runs according to audit requirements.
Identify training needs of workers and provide on-job training in machine operation, process control, and production practices.
Other responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.
Knowledge and Expertise Required:
Diploma/Bachelor in Food Technology or related field.
Knowledge in Food Safety (GMP, HACCP & Halal).
Proficient in English and Malay (spoken and written).
Basic user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and rational thinking with good troubleshooting skills.
