DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process Control
Monitor overall production efficiency (i.e.
yield, rejection, wastage, etc.)
and productivity based on target set.
Ensure all operating parameters are strictly adhered to according to specifications.
Ensure production operating practices are in accordance with SOP.
Ensure products are produced on time, according to product specifications, fulfilling requirements for food safety and quality.
Ensure production setup time is in accordance with targets set.
Ensure all machines, equipment, and utensils operate according to specifications to avoid downtime due to machinery breakdown or equipment failure.
Perform troubleshooting when any non-conformances are found and rectify encountered issues.
Process Improvement
Study and set new targets for productivity, product yield, rejection, and wastage for continuous improvement.
Propose and implement improved processes for cost savings, increased capacity, product quality enhancement, productivity advancement, or operating efficiency improvement.
Propose and implement new projects for continuous improvement.
Manpower Efficiency Monitoring
Conduct standard time studies for each process and set targets.
Monitor daily production capacity versus available manpower to ensure optimal and effective capacity.
Monitor manpower allocation for each process to ensure optimal workforce effectiveness.
Develop work instructions (WI) for manpower allocation and target capacity for each process.
New Product/Process
Collaborate with other departments when implementing new products/processes in mass production runs.
Study and set new targets for productivity, product yield, rejection, wastage, and manpower allocation for any new product/process.
Observe, study, and rectify any non-conformances encountered during the implementation of new products/processes.
Hygiene and Sanitation
Ensure production operates under the required standards of hygiene and sanitation set by the company.
Ensure daily operating practices fulfill the required standards of hygiene and sanitation.
Monitor the personal hygiene and sanitation of personnel working in production.
Audits
Participate in any internal or external audits.
Ensure production runs in accordance with audit requirements.
Conduct inspections, monitor, and rectify any non-conformances in production regarding process control and daily operating practices to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Training
Identify training needs of workers and provide on-the-job training in machine operation, process control, and production practices.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED:
Diploma/Bachelor in Food Technology or any related field.
Knowledge of Food Safety (GMP, HACCP & Halal).
Proficient in spoken and written English and Malay.
Basic user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with various departments.
Analytical and rational thinking, with good troubleshooting skills preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
