Production Planner

About the role

Sumtak Steel Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Production Planner to join our dynamic team in Balakong, Selangor. In this role, you will play a key part in optimizing our production planning and scheduling processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our operations.
What you'll be doing Planning and managing production schedules to meet customer demands and production targets.Collaborate with the Production team to monitor and report on production progress, identifying and resolving any production issues.Analyze production data and provide recommendations to improve planning and scheduling processes.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Logistics and Quality Assurance, to ensure seamless production operations.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production activities, product quality control, and inventory levels.Coordinate and maintain up-to-date machine/tool repair and maintenance.Providing regular reporting and updates to management on production performance. What we're looking for Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve production-related issues.Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.A team player with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset.No prior experience in the steel production industry is required; training and workflow guidance will be provided.
