Job Responsibilities:Manage and supervise daily activities on the production floor to ensure timely processing, packaging, and shipment of seafood products.
Maintain and enforce quality control measures throughout all stages of processing to meet company and industry standards.
Lead, coach, and train production operators, ensuring they understand and follow operating procedures and performance expectations.
Track key production metrics, including output, yield, efficiency, and downtime, and work to optimize these metrics.
Ensure all employees adhere to food safety, occupational health, and sanitation protocols. Conduct safety drills and risk assessments as needed.
Create and manage work schedules, assign tasks, and plan shifts to align with production demands and deadlines.
Identify areas for process improvement and work with management to implement strategies that enhance productivity, quality, or safety.
Compile reports on production performance, safety incidents, and any other relevant metrics for senior management.
Requirements:Proven experience as a production supervisor or a similar leadership role in a food processing environment, with seafood experience preferred.
Strong ability to lead, motivate, and effectively communicate with a diverse team.
Demonstrated skills in identifying and resolving production issues quickly.
Familiarity with seafood industry-specific hygiene standards, food safety regulations, and best practices (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
Capable of standing for extended periods, performing some lifting, and working in cold or wet environments, as necessary.
