The Project Engineer/Manager will oversee onsite construction coordination activities, focusing on commercial kitchen and laundry equipment installation in a high-end 5-star hotel project. This role involves client and contractor interface, schedule management, documentation, cost control, and quality assurance.
Job Description Risk Management-Identify and report risks related to scope, schedule, and budget
Collaboration and Coordination -Work with project team members and manage subcontractors' onsite activities
-Serve as the primary project contact for stakeholders
Safety and Quality Control-Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
-Monitor work quality and resolve issues promptly
Schedule and Progress Management -Develop, evaluate, and maintain project schedules
-Coordinate with subcontractors to meet milestones and deadlines
-Participate in progress meetings and review payment applications
Communication and Documentation -Manage meetings and correspondence with clients, consultants, and contractors
-Coordinate submittals, RFIs, and plan revisions
Financial Management-Assist in preparing monthly progress claims
-Liaise with Quantity Surveyors for work certification
Technical Oversight-Oversee testing and commissioning processes
-Ensure timely submission of Operation and Maintenance Manuals and as-built
documentation
Project Closeout-Assist in project handover and closeout procedures
Job Requirement Minimum 3 years field construction experience as a Project EngineerUniversity degree with engineering or Architectural related studies is preferred 2+ years in commercial kitchen equipment fit-out construction (strongly preferred)Knowledge of general building, site/civil construction, and basic MEP understandingProficiency in reading project plans, specifications, and interior design detailsExpertise with Microsoft Office and basic computer skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Project (advantageous)Experience with large construction projects (advantageous)Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdaptability to changing project requirementsFamiliarity with building codes and regulationsBasic understanding of sustainable construction practicesProficiency in project management software and BIM tools (advantageous)
