Position Overview:We seek an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead and manage projects that drive our insurtech initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the agile software development process for enterprise clients. Experience and exposure to the insurance industry are a plus. As a client-facing project manager, you will be responsible for the planning, executing, and finalizing of regional or global small, medium, and large client implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities:Project Planning:Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.Execution:Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate and lead project team members to ensure timely and successful project delivery.Backlog Management:Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the development team always has a clear understanding of the most valuable work to be done in Jira.Agile Process:Act as the Project Owner in agile development teams, participating in sprint planning, review, and retrospectives. Ensure the delivery of high-quality products within agreed timelines.Stakeholder Management:Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations.Risk Management:Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. Develop contingency plans as necessary.Quality Assurance:Ensure all projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations.Reporting:Provide regular project updates, status reports, and presentations to senior management and other stakeholders.Team Leadership:Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the insurance or insurtech industry.Skills:
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello, Figma, MS Excel, Google Suite products).Excellent organisational and time management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge:In-depth understanding of the insurance industry, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and regulatory requirements.Attributes:Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
