Project Manager (Logistic & Supply Chain)Oversee the setup and implementation of warehousing operations for new customers, from initial planning to go-live.
Develop customized warehousing solutions to meet new customer requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).
Ensure a smooth transition from project planning to operational handover, minimizing disruptions and delays.
Conduct thorough onboarding meetings to gather customer expectations, product specifications, and operational requirements.
Develop detailed customer onboarding documentation, including process maps, SOPs, and timelines.
Train and support the operations team to ensure seamless execution of the new setup.
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) to ensure all tasks are clearly defined and assigned.
Track project progress, ensuring all deliverables are met within agreed timelines and budgets.
Conduct regular project status meetings and provide detailed reports to senior management and clients.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary liaison between new customers, internal teams, external vendors, and service providers.
Facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment of project goals, deliverables, and customer expectations.
Conduct regular updates and progress reviews with stakeholders, identifying and resolving concerns promptly.
Maintain strong relationships with new customers, ensuring satisfaction and addressing feedback proactively.
Process Implementation and Optimization:
Design and implement warehousing processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) tailored to new customer needs.
Coordinate the installation and configuration of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology solutions.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure operational processes meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer-specific guidelines.
Resource Management:
Assemble and lead project teams, including warehouse staff, IT specialists, and logistics coordinators.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure all team members understand project objectives and timelines.
Ensure availability of necessary resources, including equipment, personnel, and technology, for successful project execution.
Risk and Issue Management:
Identify potential project risks, including operational, logistical, and technical challenges.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks and avoid delays.
Address issues promptly and work with teams to resolve them efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Quality Assurance:
Develop and enforce quality standards for new customer warehousing setups, ensuring consistency and compliance.
Conduct inspections and audits during project implementation to verify adherence to quality standards.
Perform post-implementation reviews to evaluate project success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Document lessons learned and best practices to enhance future project implementations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or project management within logistics or warehousing.
Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Excellent project management and change management skills.
Exceptional communication, coaching, and leadership abilities.
Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Proficient in tracking and analyzing financial impacts of improvement initiatives.
