RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Integration ManagementDevelop the Project Charter ensuring sponsor buy-in and sign off
Ensure a project plan is prepared and maintained
Direct and manage project execution
Monitor and control project work
Manage all change requests and integrate approved ones into the project plan
Finalize all activities to formally close the project or phaseProject Scope ManagementDeliver the agreed outcomes required from the project
Conduct stakeholder analysis, define and manage customer expectations
Liaise with business units for project inputs and regularly report to the sponsor
Clarify details of contracts and manage contract variations
Manage any changes to scope using an appropriate change process
Seek and manage opportunities to upsell
Ensure acceptance of project deliverables by stakeholders/customers/sponsorsProject Time ManagementAchieve customer deadlines
Use a formal process to estimate times for all activities, sequence them, and prepare the schedule
Control performance to meet the deliverables according to the scheduleProject Cost ManagementPlan, allocate, and manage budgets using appropriate company tools
Anticipate and give forewarning of any deviations from budgets
Control the budget within the limits of the project tolerances approved by the project sponsor
Seek approval from the sponsor for any anticipated expenditure above the project budgetProject Quality ManagementEstablish and plan quality requirements with customers and manage projects to ensure compliance
Employ effective corrective action techniques where required
Use project health checks, reviews, audits, and customer satisfaction surveys to objectively monitor project performance and qualityProject Human Resources ManagementActively promote team effectiveness, morale, motivation, and productivity
Ensure the team buys into the goals of the project
Support competence development of team and other staff (if applicable)
Manage the interface between internal resources and the customer
Provide feedback to line managers on team member performanceProject Communications ManagementActively manage stakeholders utilizing appropriate techniques
Implement a project communication strategy to inform all stakeholders and provide regular reports
Provide market information as to future business opportunities (if applicable)
Implement knowledge management initiatives supporting project communicationsImplement an effective risk management process for the project ensuring the team is fully engaged
Mitigate, deflect, or avoid risk threats whilst seeking to maximize risk opportunities
Generate procurement planning documentation for the project
Work within the procurement management processes defined for standard ordering and subcontracting
Manage third-party suppliers as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 7 years of project management experience in telecom and/or infrastructure services, managing external customer-facing projects
Experience in virtual team management and working in an international environment
Project Management Certification (PMI PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner) is an advantage
Knowledge of Cantonese to communicate with stakeholders/vendors is highly preferred
Ability to engage and partner with customers and internal staff
Ability to work in a virtual matrix team environment
Ability to identify problems and work to resolution
Ability to embrace methodology and find improved ways of doing things
Good understanding of the telecoms and IT industries
