Purchasing Assistant

ResponsibilitiesDevelop new suppliers, request samples for production to test, negotiate pricing and terms.
Compare supplies, such as pricing, delivery times, and service quality.
Ensure orders arrive according to schedule for smooth production.
Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
Cancel the Purchase Requisition if stock in warehouse is still high.
Expedite materials from suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
Hold delivery if quality is not acceptable.
Make claims against suppliers if goods are rejected by our customers.
Assist the buyer in project costing reports.
Liaise with the Accounts Department on payment matters.
RequirementsMinimum Diploma/Degree in a related field.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience in a similar field is an added advantage.
Knowledge in handling import and export documentation.
