Job Description: As a Purchasing Engineer in the automotive gearbox OEM industry, you will be responsible forsourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely procurement of high-qualitymaterials and services at the best cost. You will manage both direct and indirect purchasing,maintain supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Your role alsoincludes maintaining purchasing databases, managing delivery schedules, and ensuring adherenceto quality and environmental regulations.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree, major in mechanical manufacture or trade preferred.Mid level experience of in purchasing Both direct and indirect.Fluent English speaking, read and writing, with good negotiation skills.Be familiar with the application of MS Office, SAP is a plus.Be Familiar with IATF16949/ISO14001.Key Responsibilities: Striving for KPI of project, ensure best cost for responsible Items and service.Develop supplier base to ensure on time and flexible delivery, good quality and service.Base on purchasing Request, source New Supplier, Commercial Negotiation, Supplier nomination, contract signature.Purchasing Order release and follow up, maintenance of purchase database in SAP, file documentation for purchase department.Manage delivery list and return list with supplier for NPR Purchase order, make payment requirement, follow up payment.Negotiate, conclude reasonable prices for all non-production related items such as spare parts.Other daily paperwork, quality and environment documents are managed, released, and maintain.Preferred Skills and Experience: Proficiency in English, and Bahasa Malaysia (both spoken and written), proficiency in Chinese is prefered.Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle ad-hoc tasks efficiently.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong negotiation skills with experience in supplier management.Ability to manage cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively with internal departments.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at different levels.Familiarity with quality and environmental management documentation.Strong organizational and documentation skills, especially in SAP and Microsoft Office.Previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is an added advantage.Offer: You will become part of a well-regarded company with a strong international focus in the demanding automotive OEM industry.We offer a dynamic work atmosphere, opportunities for internal growth, and the ability to enhance your skills in cutting-edge technologies.You'll be supported by motivated colleagues, enjoy a professional environment that encourages creativity and initiative, with streamlined communication.We provide a competitive salary package that includes various additional benefits.Seniority level: Mid-Level
