Purchasing ExecutiveLocation:Petaling Jaya, Selangor, MalaysiaJob Responsibilities
Assist in purchasing procedures, generate PO & ensure deliveries/shipments are received on required date.
Checking PO confirmation, matching purchase order, delivery order/Packing list & supplier invoice.
Communicate with suppliers in a timely manner to ensure requirements can be met & shipping documents provided by supplier.
Maintain purchasing documents, files records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation.
Raising sales credits for returned or incorrectly charged goods.
Maintain and create new item codes in the system.
Undertake any other duties as necessary within the purchasing department.
Process import shipping documents and develop relations with forwarder agents.
Communicate and follow up closely with forwarding agent on the shipment arrival date.
Responsible for stock management, key user for MRP/inventory management.
Involve in general inventory management process in PeopleSoft System.
Enter Receipt (GRN – Goods Receiving Note) related to goods receiving into PeopleSoft once receive the manual GRN from warehouse.
Monitor the status of incoming shipments and correspond with the warehouse personnel.
Check the sea-freight/airfreight cost based on requests from sales team and ensure follow-up action is completed.
Liaise with supplier and forwarding agent for the collection of ex-warehouse order.
Involve in insurance claims if there are any goods/cargo damaged.Others
Mentor and provide training to junior operations team members.
Assist other Supply Chain operations team members in their absence (e.g., on leave or maternity leave, etc.).
Any other tasks as assigned by Management.Job Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in purchasing; knowledgeable in import and exports is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills - able to build relationships with suppliers, listening to and understanding client's orders and colleagues' instructions.
Able to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Solutions-focused – working with our internal teams and suppliers to overcome challenges, solve problems, and constantly seek to improve processes.
Team-player; able to take initiative and roll up sleeves to support the wider team.
Comfortable dealing with numbers.
Good IT skills – minimally a good understanding of Word and Excel and be comfortable producing emails and letters.
Prior experience in JDE and CRM tools is advantageous.#J-18808-Ljbffr
