RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
The Purchasing Department is responsible for acquiring the goods and services necessary for the efficient operation of the business.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for various tasks, including:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing and delivery terms.
Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and develop new partnerships.
Review bids received from suppliers and make decisions for potential purchase orders based on factors such as price, quality, delivery terms, and other factors.
Prepare and issue purchase orders and related documents to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Address any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.
Manage inventory levels of supplies and materials to ensure adequate supply while minimizing costs.
Generate and maintain purchasing reports to track spending and supplier performance.
Liaise with key stakeholders to evaluate vendor performance.
Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier agreements.
Any ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION LEVEL & MAJOR:
Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 year relevant working experience.
REQUIRED LANGUAGE:
Bahasa Malaysia, English & Mandarin is an added advantage (required to deal with Mandarin speaking clients).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Detail-oriented and focus on accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written, verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in SAP system will be an added advantage and MS Office.
WORKING HOURS & OFF DAY:
