Purchasing Manager (Smarthire)

Purchasing Manager (SmartHire) Posting Date : 04 Dec 2024 | Close Date :04 Mar 2025 RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate with Manager – Contracts and Manager – Project on the quantity of building materials required to purchase for each site.
Control and monitor the purchase of building materials at each site.
Source for quotations of building materials from suppliers.
Provide on-the-job training for staff in the department.
Ensure information in the Purchase Order issued is adequate.
Ensure prompt delivery of building materials at the site.
Verify weekly submission of delivery orders from the site.
Carry out other job assignments as and when required by the immediate superior.
REQUIREMENTS: Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Quantity Survey or Construction Management.
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.
Candidates without qualifications but vast experience will be considered.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, planning and organising, problem-solving and analytical skills.
