Company Background
We are representing our client, a well-established Halal & HACCP pastry and bakery manufacturer that distributes and supplies a broad variety of bakery and pastry products to various customers such as F&B convenient stores, F&B outlets, eateries, and airlines.
They are currently embarking on expansion plans and are looking for an experienced and innovativeR&D Managerto lead the R&D team for the bread, Danish, and frozen cake departments. The incumbent shall focus on developing product innovation and improvement, automation, and enhancing the quality of frozen bakery products to ensure that they meet high-quality standards and customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities:
Leads and manages the R&D department, setting strategic goals and objectives to drive innovation, product development, and quality improvement in frozen bakery products, especially in the areas of improving product texture, shelf life, and freezing technology.
Coordinates with corporate customers to develop OEM frozen bakery products, addressing their specific needs and preferences.
Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining the integrity and safety of all products.
Introduces and manages new technologies with a view towards full automation.
Develops and implements R&D projects that enhance product quality and efficiency, while managing the budgets and resources for R&D projects to ensure efficient use of company assets.
Collaborates closely with production, quality assurance, and marketing departments to ensure market relevance and quality, and with other departments to align R&D activities with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Monitors and keeps abreast of industry trends to ensure that the company remains competitive through continuous innovation.
Qualification:
Open to Malaysian ONLY
Degree in Food Science, Bakery Science, or a related field is required.
5+ years of experience within the baking or frozen food industry, with a focus on R&D.
Deep knowledge of baking processes, automation, and frozen product development.
High attention to detail and good analytical skills to interpret data and improve product formulations.
Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills are essential.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are necessary to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
