Due to its global expansion in Southeast Asia, we are looking for an R&D Manager with a focus on our customers in Malaysia and Singapore.
Key Responsibilities: Actively working with the customer in Singapore regarding existing projects and new business inquires Frequently travelling between Johor Bahru and Singapore by its own carFully in charge of increasing the revenue in the region of Southeast Asia and Singapore Able to travel within the Southeast region to visit new customers and its R&D centers. Daily R&D job includes: Evaluate new spice formula for sauce, blending dry food application Conduct sensory evaluation and shelf-life tests Maintain proper documentation to support costing, labeling, scale up and production of new and existing products Work closely with inter-departments on the development and launch of new or improved recipes Manage scale-up of new recipes from laboratory scale to production scale with the team in Mainland ChinaLead and conduct investigations and perform trouble-shooting to resolve quality or processing issuesEnsure product compliance with food regulationsPerform ad-hoc duties assigned by immediate superior or customer in SingaporeTravel frequently within Singapore to visit key customersTraining will be provided in China, USA, Germany and BrasilJob Requirements Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in R&DUp to 2-3 years sales and business development experience with customers in Singapore Diploma or bachelor's degree in food science & technology or similar disciplineFamiliarity with manufacturing processes Proficient in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) to liaise with associatesTeam player with good interpersonal and communication skills
