We aim to propose long-term sustainable and efficient solutions for the production of clean fuels and chemicals intermediates from oil or any other carbon source, including bio-renewable sources, circular economy, carbon capture and utilization, and hydrogen.We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager responsible for conducting business development and commercial activities related to the sales of Technologies licensed by Axens.MISSIONSReporting to the Commercial Director in Axens South East Asia, the Regional Sales Manager will:Ensure sales prospection work, business development, and promote the sales of process licensed units, associated equipment, and services within Axens technology portfolio.Integrate into a team of Sales Managers sharing the Asia Pacific market.Organize visits to customers regularly and perform preliminary technical presentations if needed.Organize, participate, and/or present at seminars & conferences.Understand and gather intelligence on regional business by prospecting for opportunities and sharing knowledge of country and regional regulations and incentive programs.Build/strengthen a professional network.Prepare and present commercial offers.Manage contract preparation/finalization/negotiation with the Legal Department.Manage the interface between customers and various services of Axens and potential parties working with Axens.Manage sales follow-up in the region, including reporting, sales forecasting, CRM updates, and communication with Sales Support.Exchange/communicate with other Sales Managers covering the region and report to the Commercial Director to ensure efficient teamwork.Be based in Axens South East Asia offices in Kuala Lumpur.KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED LEVELAt least 10 years of overall experience in downstream refining, petrochemicals, and bio-renewables industries.Experienced Engineer, with at least 3 years in process engineering and/or technical role.Having at least 5 years of previous sales and business development experience.Possessing deep knowledge of refining, petrochemical, and bio-renewable markets, especially the technologies that a Licensor like Axens can propose.
Knowledge of the bio-renewable market is a bonus.Familiarity with the Asia Pacific refining, petrochemical, and bio-renewable market.Past experience working with established major regional players in Refining, Petrochemical, or Bio-Renewables as well as newcomer project developers is a plus.English will be the working language; knowing French and/or regional languages would be a bonus.ASSOCIATED SKILLSAppreciation for teamwork to manage activities and exchange with colleagues located in Axens HQ offices in France and customers.Ability to work and organize independently.Synthetic mind and analytical skills, pragmatic and straightforward approach, well-organized, and able to motivate and convince others.Strong listening skills to understand customers' needs and provide relevant answers.Confidence and experience to adapt to new situations and challenges.Good contacts with people to develop relationships with colleagues and customers.Willingness to propose improvements/changes for continuous improvement and enhanced efficiency.Open-mindedness to understand and appreciate different cultures.Availability for frequent business trips within the region (40 to 60%) and visits to our HQ in France for training and meetings when needed.Candidates outside Malaysia may also apply; please note that it will be on a local contract."At Axens, we challenge stereotypes and clichés.
