Regional Senior Associate, Cross Border (Air)The Cross Border Air Freight team aims to build competitive logistics products and customised solutions to support various sales channels in business acquisition.
The incumbent will supervise the overall Intra-ASEAN air freight operations activities, including:
Daily functionalities of the air freight and customs clearance operations teams for Intra-ASEAN.
Work closely with the Intra-ASEAN Air Freight Manager to ensure the team processes the necessary resources and capabilities to execute day-to-day air freight and custom clearance operations and the ability to handle exceptional cases.
Drive and develop operational excellence by setting/improving processes and/or procedures within the operations environment to enhance service level and manage cost optimisation.
Ensure all operating procedures within Intra-ASEAN Air Freight are documented and users within the Intra-ASEAN Air Freight team are aligned on the requirements.
Work with cross-functional teams (Sales Channel & Commercial, Finance and OPEX) to achieve operational sustainability.
Ensure vendors deliver the promised scope of work.
Responsibilities
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure new shippers are smoothly onboarded, while supporting them with any operational enquiries.
Drive internal alignment and document all operational requirements.
Coordination of daily operations of Cross Border Intra-ASEAN lanes with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage air freight bookings with vendors to enhance product lead time optimization.
Maintain collaborative relationships with vendors, OPEX, and XB country teams to ensure end-to-end operational alignment, improvement, and SLA adherence.
Ensure efficient communication, escalations and management of expectations regarding operational issues, exceptions, or changes.
Upkeep timely and accurate shipment milestones updates on the system.
Validation of vendor invoices and preparation of shipper billing.
Serve as subject matter expert to address Intra-ASEAN operational enquiries and furnish relevant information/context.
Create and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures / Working instructions.
Ensure operation associates are familiarised with the SOP.
Responsible for providing operational requirements and input before/during vendor onboarding and pilot process.
Support the Logistics Manager in onboarding and implementation of all procured solutions.
Responsible for monitoring vendor performances against targets.
Bridge and streamline vendor practices to align with industry standards.
Maintain collaborative relationships with vendors to facilitate the smooth execution of daily operations and maintain visibility on any operations deviations.
Ensure vendors' adherence to SOP and operational requirements to ensure operations scalability and consistency.
Monitor vendor performances against targets and agreement.
Responsible for updating and preparing weekly reporting on SLA adherence and operational deviation.
Responsible for collating and presenting monthly reporting on P&L performance for Intra-ASEAN lanes.
Perform analysis on active lanes and identify ways to improve cost and other cost variables.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain will be beneficial.
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a freight forwarding operations environment or knowledge of air freight, export and import clearance.
Deep technical understanding of air freight and customs clearance processes in South East Asia.
The ability to converse in Mandarin and English is compulsory for this position.
