Job Summary:
We are currently looking forRegulatory & Compliance Executiveto support and ensure the organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies. This person will be working with Wilhelmsen Ship Management, a comprehensive global maritime group providing over half of the merchant fleet with essential products and services, along with supplying crew and technical management to the largest and most complex vessels ever to sail.
Position:Regulatory & Compliance Executive
Location:Menara 1 Sentral - Kuala Lumpur
Reporting:US Compliance Assistant Manager
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Support WSM Management Centres during certification, audits, and preparation of vessel documentation required by regulations, codes, and standards.
Support Management Centres in procurement and upkeep of plans and certificates for compliance with OPA 90, Federal and State Specific requirements, Marpol and Panama Canal related requirements, and others.
Ensure all vessels are included in Classification Society Emergency Response Services.
Ensure all vessels trading to USA, Canada, and others are entered into necessary agreements with QI, OSRO, ERS, and Media Management and state-specific marine and spill response programs.
Prepare invoices for third-party service providers.
Prepare information for Corporate Finance on amounts to be charged for services provided by GHSEQ via monthly and annual billings.
Administration / Reconciliation of annual fee payment to resources contracted as QI / OSRO / Media Management services on behalf of customers.
Organise HSEQ and DC meetings in cooperation with Corporate HR.
Maintain GHSEQ database of vessels, plans, and compliance status.
What Experience and Skills Are Required:
We are open to any related field; a Diploma / Degree in HSEQ would be advantageous.
Minimum 1 year working experience in a related background. Shipping and Maritime background is a plus point; Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in English and Time Management.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
Team Collaboration and Attention to Detail.
Additional Preferences:
Broad-based commercial knowledge and understanding.
Experience in process development and documentation.
