**Job Summary**:Perform evidence assessment through research, analysis, and synthesis of information on limited variety of healthcare products and interventions to write reports for health system and payer audiences. Learn and use the PICOTS analytic framework to analyze published studies, assess strength of evidence (using the GRADE concepts), and write rapid assessments for Evidence Memberships (CEA/GTA). Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively, use standardized tools and approaches, and complete assigned work with close supervision. Will be required to know how to use the company tools and resources in order to effectively prepare basic, standard client materials.Duties and Responsibilities:Work Complexity- Use internal workflow tools (e.g., SharePoint, Nested Knowledge) to follow appropriate procedures for report documentation, drafting, peer review, revision and final publication.- Document sources for all facts and information used in reports and use the internal citation system workflows to request and document resources used.- Understands the patient clinical pathway (e.g., for the screening, diagnosis, or management of the relevant disease/condition) and incorporates it for contextualizing evidence assessments of medical devices, device classes.- Use search results provided by medical librarians to select appropriate data for analysis, perform analysis, and write evidence assessments; may require close supervision and likely to request and require counsel.- Authors basic (and occasionally complex) product-specific rapid assessments (i.e., Product Briefs) and simple topic-focused rapid assessments (i.e., Hotline Responses) or other membership deliverables.- Authors reports consistent with type of assessment required by the member and produces reports that meet client needs. Approaches moderately complex reports with close or modest supervision and by appropriately determining and requesting counsel when needed.- Ensures reports have high level of scientific integrity, quality, and accuracy, meet quality and scientific integrity standards, and consistently require mínimal revisions.- Completes membership deliverables and other requests within assigned deadlines.- Becomes proficient with utilizing internal instruments (i.e., Nested Knowledge) to screen and select studies, extract data, create evidence maps, and build evidence hierarchies.- Uses peer review feedback to revise assessments as needed after internal and external review; documents responses to reviewers. Exercises independent judgment and adequately resolves most necessary revisions. Is likely to require counsel and requires re-review cycle.- Ensures that appropriate revisions have been completed after review.- Ensures basic understanding of factors that affect diffusion of drugs, devices, procedures, tests, and therapies and reconciles said factors in membership deliverables.Collaboration and Relationship Building- Prepares for preliminary meetings on assigned topics and understands the patient clinical pathway for the relevant disease/condition as assigned.- Reviews work from teams across the company as requested; maintains effective relationship with others across the company to aid in work completion.- Participates as assigned in coaching and training sessions for new and existing team members aboutworkflow processes and report's individual sections or processes for all membership deliverables.- Helps with workflow and process changes as requested and participates in team discussions. Collaborates with other of the company departments on simple projects or tasks to support their needs as assigned and informs and trains others about basic tools and methods.Work Products and Influence- Ensures understanding of client research requests. Works as assigned with Clinical Research Support Team to aid in request scoping, determine report level, and assign proper report topic definition and PICOTS (Patients, Interventions, Comparators, Outcomes, Timeframe, Setting) that meet client needs and are within the scope of client membership.- Performs title verification with direct supervision from a scientific quality manager.- Understands audience perspectives (e.g., payer, health system, patient) and writes accordingly.- Writes assessments clearly in active voice for intended audiences.- Meets deadlines for client deliverables.- Provides technical support and aids in preparing responses to members who may have questions about report findings, other aspects of a membership deliverable, or methodology.- Helps as assigned to prepare response.
