Research Assistant

1. General Agronomic Work- Leaf samples and soil samples collection- Vegetative growth measurement- Data recording and collection- Require at least a few hours continuous walking and standing for data collection 2. GPS mapping- Require at least a few hours continuous walking and standing for GPS data collection 3. Soil Survey- Require at least a few hours continuous walking to collect soil samples- At each sampling point, auger is used to collect soil samples, need to bend down and squat to check the samples.Missions 1-To help our principals achieve highest productivity and efficiency and thus maximize profits and best results through sustainable crop practices and advanced planting materials. 2-To continually develop and improve planting practices and planting materials for our Principal and advisory estates. Objectives 1-To improve productivity and efficiency of oil palm estates through site-specific practices. 2-To raise the yield plateau and improve desirable secondary characteristics of oil palm planting materials through improved hybrid seeds and/or clonal materials. 3-To seek improved planting practices, systems or equipment which will raise productivity of the crop and /or labour. 4-To seek effective planting practices, systems or equipment which are worker and manager-friendly i.e. which are simple to understand and implement or operate.Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Higher Graduate Diploma / DVM / DKM Level 4 / DLKM Level 5
