Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil - will mark the first Hyatt Place hotel in Malaysia. Located in Bukit Jalil, an affluent suburb located within the southern corridor of Kuala Lumpur, the hotel will feature approximately 250 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, Large Ballroom and 4 meeting rooms and flexible event space, Rooftop restaurant, a fitness centre, and a sky pool
We are currently looking for a Reservations & Front Office Agent to join us as we continue to embark this exciting journey with the hotel. Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open for Malaysian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Malaysia. This position reports to the hotel Senior Director of Sales.
Responsibilities:
Administration To assist in the duties of the Reservation & Front Office Department, maximising bookings by delivery a delightful yet efficient booking service. Be meticulous at administration ensuring that every detail of a customer's booking has been accurately recorded following established procedures. Reservation & Front Office To deal efficiently and politely with all telephone, email, internet and 'in person' enquiries. To ensure that all reservations are recorded following established procedures with full and clear information and that they are accurately and promptly onto the system. To maximize revenue by converting enquiries, recognising business prospects and opportunities to upsell venue services.To liaise with clients and customers to coordinate corporate events whilst building rapport and creating professional relationships. To ensure that all work meets company standards and is according to training given; all function paperwork must be accurate and complete, including catering requirements, guest preferences, booking supplements and payment details. To create and/or extract daily reservations reports from OPERA and Hyatt Reserve systems regularly or upon request for all respective departments. Operational To answer incoming calls and places outgoing calls according to Hyatt telephone standards, procedure and etiquette. Always be polite and courteous while answering calls. To ensure that information provided to callers is precise and within the boundaries set by the hotel. To observe standards and procedures and carry out any reasonable request made by Senior Director of Sales and Reservation Lead Host. To receive guest messages and deliver the same to the guest. Other Duties Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming. Exercises responsible supervisory behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel management team and Hyatt Hotel Corporation. Responds to changes in the Reservations function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel. Reads the hotel's Associate Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
