Resident Engineer

Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage the daily activities of construction on-site
Ensure that construction work is performed according to project plans and specifications
Monitor progress of work and maintain construction schedule
Manage the use of materials, equipment, and personnel on the job site
Perform quality control inspections and resolve any issues that arise during construction
Interact with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals are met
Provide technical guidance and support to project team members
Prepare and submit reports on project progress and status
Ensure that all construction work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management to ensure projects meet customer's quality standards.
Requirements
Will be based at Sandakan
Degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil Engineering
At least 10 years of working experience in project management especially in infrastructure projects
Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality within team members, clients, contractors & suppliers
Proven leadership as the lead of the project
Excellent in communication and reporting
Strong technical knowledge, coordination and interpersonal skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines to deliver on time
Required skills: MS Project, MS Office, AutoCAD, Monthly Report, good knowledge in both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English
