SummaryDetailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Lead the development, procurement and implementation off the shelf standard solutions and/or develop new standard automation solutions to support customer product manufacturing equipment needs.
Plan and lead the hardware and software improvements of automated lines and off the shelf equipment, via the analysis of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and other available data. Own the communications with multiple stakeholders including solution providers for design, technical information and specifications.
Lead and solve complex technical problems and lead the equipment validation activities such as Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
Develop maintenance plans and oversee and/or execute activities to achieve target performance. Be accountable for the performance, maintenance, and OEE improvements for multiple machines within a value stream.
Support customer product road map using Celestica Automation E2E process and tools such as User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Design for Automation Assembly (DFAA) and PM workbook.
Drive problem solving and corrective actions related to causes of machine failures, speed loss or quality issues.
Work with Process Engineering to ensure equipment is statistically capable of meeting the product manufacturing requirements.
Application support for various robotic arm, electrical wiring and mechanical assembly.
Provide technical support to stakeholders to resolve technical queries.
Provide/propose solution to stakeholders on application inquiry.
Provide technical clarification to stakeholders when required.
Setup proof of concept and demonstration to stakeholders.
Identify project issue & liaise with team members if necessary.
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and or travel as required in varying timelines.
Ensure project scheduled milestones are met.
Proficiency programming knowledge and debug in KUKA, JAKA and TM robotic language, knowledge in PLC programming is an added advantage.
Prior experience with robotic safety system and requirement.
Familiar with motors, sensors, and other relevant instrumentation technologies.
Knowledge of fieldbuses including Ethercat, Ethernet/IP and etc.
Ability to troubleshoot software issue and provide solutions during design review session.
Basic knowledge in Phyton, digital twin, robotic vision and ROS system is an added advantage.
Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as a team player in a dynamic & challenging environment.
Proactive attitude, good time management and strong customer focus.
Basic knowledge in project management.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
Occasional travel may be required.
Typical ExperienceTechnical knowledge in Robotics & Automation.
5 years and above of related experience; Experience in similar job roles.
Typical EducationDegree in Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
