Our client "??Hicom Teck See Manufacturing (M) Sdn. Bhd." is seeking a Robotic Engineer to join their company! What you'll be doing? Program and operate ABB IRB 5500 robots for automated painting processes - Develop and fine-tune robotic paint application programs for optimal coverage, thickness, and finish quality. Set parameters such as robot speed, path trajectories, and spray patterns to ensure uniform application. Operate the robots during production runs, making real-time adjustments as necessary to meet product specifications. Install and configure the ABB IRB 5500 painting system in various production environments - Calibrate the robotic system to ensure accurate and consistent paint delivery and coverage. Maintain the correct alignment of spray nozzles and ensure uniform paint application. Perform regular preventive maintenance on the ABB IRB 5500, including cleaning, calibration, and component replacement. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues to minimize downtime. Diagnose problems with the robot's painting process and adjust the system to resolve inefficiencies or defects. Continuously improve the efficiency of the robotic painting process to reduce paint consumption and cycle times - Optimize robot paths and application settings to minimize material waste and energy use. Implement advanced techniques like atomization control, electrostatic painting, or other technologies to improve performance. Ensure that all paint jobs meet quality standards, including proper thickness, smoothness, and coverage - Perform visual inspections and quality tests to confirm adherence to specifications. Identify and correct issues that affect paint quality, such as overspray, paint wastage, or inconsistent thickness. Work closely with production teams, quality assurance, and other engineering departments to ensure smooth integration of robotic solutions. Train operators and production staff on robotic systems, painting processes, and safety procedures. Maintain accurate records of programming changes, maintenance activities, and performance metrics, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to paint handling, hazardous materials, and equipment operation. Use protective equipment and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents, especially in environments dealing with chemicals or pressurized systems. Maintain proper ventilation and handling procedures for hazardous paint materials. Prepare and present reports on system performance, process improvements, and project progress to management.
