SAFETY & HEALTH OFFICER (BASED KOTA KINABALU)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In-Charge/ Initiate of the Company's Environmental, Safety and Health activities.
Liaise with Local authorities (e.g.
Bomba, DOSH, DOE etc.).
Responding, investigating, and reporting on all accidents or injuries occurring in the workplace, road accidents, and dealer premises.
Also take necessary steps to prevent re-occurrence.
Review and amend Health, Safety and Environmental procedures as appropriate.
Comply with 5S regulations.
Responsible for ensuring Fire Safety/Protection of the factory and Security at the worksite.
Oversee and review environmental, health, and safety documentation and data.
Monitoring all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements and ensuring compliance with government regulations by conducting/reviewing CIMAH, CHRA, ERP, HIRARC as necessary.
Educate, train, supervise, and motivate employees, workers, and drivers to conduct activities in a safe, environmentally responsible, and proactive manner, and ensure policies are observed by management and staff.
Assist in other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
Candidate must possess a green book.
Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.
At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Required Skill(s): Health and Safety Standard, Management.
Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
Good knowledge of ESH Regulations specifically OSHA 1994 & FMA 1967.
Knowledge in EQA 1974, MS830, PSMA(1984), HIRARC, Incident Investigation, Schedule Waste Management, Permit to Work System, Emergency Response Procedure (ERP), CIMAH(1996).
Working in a Manufacturing Environment is preferred.
