Safety & Health Officer

**Main Duty**Responsible to the operation to ensure the safety procedures for the operation are always adhered by everybody.**Scope of Work****ROLES**:**General**- Manage the safety through preparation, execution, and post-operation phases.- Ensure that the Safety Policy for the operation is agreed and communicated.**PREPARATION PHASE**- Set up and agree on the safety requirements (per discipline) for the operation.- Ensure that the safety targets are agreed and communicated.- To induct the operation execution team into the operation safety requirements.- To train and qualify PTW holders.- To effectively participate in Job Hazard Analysis on major/critical equipment, highlighting safety requirements.- Attend and participate in the Operation Planning meeting and any other meeting as and where required.**EXECUTION PHASE**- Audit safety compliance- Be vigilant with site personnel to ensure good safety practices are upheld.- Assist and advise the Area Coordinators and their teams on safety requirements and ensure compliance.- Patrol the site with his/her team members and highlight any safety non-compliance- Ensure up-to-date record keeping on safety-related items and activities.- Ensure that all incidents or accidents are reported promptly, and investigation reports are prepared.- Implement a safety auditing scheme.- Provide agenda for toolbox meeting with the Site Manager/Operation Manager.**OPERATION PHASE**- Produce safety report/statistics and manpower loading and submit to the Site Manager/Operation Manager.**Education Attainment**:- Diploma/Degree in any field- Registered Competent Safety and Health Officer with the Department of Occupational Safety & Health, DOSH (Green Book)**Work Experience**:- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety and Health Officer and involved in at least 3 major Projects.**Job Type**: Contract**Salary**: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per monthSchedule:- Monday to Friday**Experience**:- Safety & Health Officer: 5 years (required)Ability to Commute:- Kemaman (required)Ability to Relocate:- Kemaman: Relocate before starting work (required)
