Job Description Generate Leads : Proactively identify and pursue potential customers through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and lead generation platforms.
Utilize market research and industry knowledge to identify potential sales opportunities.
Consultative Selling : Engage with prospective clients to understand their energy needs, assess their site's solar potential, and present customized solar PV solutions.
Conduct on-site visits, analyze energy usage patterns, and provide accurate and compelling proposals to meet customer requirements.
Relationship Building : Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders in the solar industry.
Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise, answering questions, and addressing concerns throughout the sales process.
Sales Presentations and Negotiations : Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to effectively communicate the benefits and financial returns of solar PV systems.
Negotiate contracts and pricing terms while ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
Market Research : Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, government incentives, and regulations related to solar energy.
Continuously gather market intelligence to identify potential competitive advantages and improve sales strategies.
Sales Administration : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, sales activities, and customer interactions using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project handover and customer satisfaction post-sales.
Team Collaboration : Coordinate with the technical team, project managers, and installation crews to ensure smooth project implementation.
Foster a collaborative work environment by sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the solar industry or renewable energy sector.
Strong understanding of solar PV systems, their components, and associated technologies.
Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal solar energy policies, incentives, and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to analyze customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and close sales deals.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks, combined with highly disciplined approach is crucial for success in this role.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
