Role Overview
As a Sales Engineer at Midwest Composites, you will serve as the bridge between our technical capabilities and our customers' needs. You will drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, presenting tailored composite solutions, and nurturing client relationships. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and sales acumen to effectively address customer challenges and contribute to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within target industries.
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, emerging trends, and competitors.
Technical Sales:
Present and explain Midwest Composites' product offerings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Analyze customer requirements and recommend suitable composite materials and solutions.
Provide technical support during pre- and post-sales processes.
Sales Strategy Execution:
Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals and solutions.
Prepare sales forecasts and achieve revenue targets.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients.
Customer Relationship Management:
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
Gather customer feedback and communicate it to the product development team for continuous improvement.
Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer interactions.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market insights.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science) or related fields.
Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in composites or related industries.
Strong understanding of composite materials and their applications.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to translate technical information into customer-centric solutions.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
