Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Sales Engineer with a focus on product expertise. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, developing product strategies, and enhancing customer satisfaction through exceptional product knowledge and technical acumen.
Key Responsibilities: Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our solar products and technologies, including their features, benefits, and applications. Stay current with industry trends and advancements to maintain product knowledge.Technical Sales Support: Provide pre-sales technical support to customers and sales teams by explaining product functionalities, addressing technical questions, and offering solutions to complex customer requirements.Solution Development: Collaborate with customers to assess their energy needs and recommend tailored solar solutions that meet their specific requirements. Prepare detailed proposals, including system solution, performance projections, and cost estimates.Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for customers, showcasing the capabilities and advantages of our solar solutions. Customize presentations to address customer pain points and highlight key product benefits.Training and Development: Train and support the sales team on product knowledge and technical aspects. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance their ability to effectively sell and support our products.Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Address any post-sales technical issues or concerns, and work closely with the customer support team to resolve them.Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and customer feedback to provide insights on product performance and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with the product development team to refine existing products and contribute to the development of new offerings.Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of technical specifications, product configurations, and sales activities. Ensure that all records are up-to-date and accessible for future reference.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Electric and Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in solar technology or energy systems are a plus.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar energy sales or engineering, with a proven track record of successfully supporting and selling solar products. Experience in a technical sales role is highly desirable.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of solar technologies, including photovoltaic systems, inverters, and energy storage solutions. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively. Proven ability to engage and persuade customers.Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze customer needs and provide effective solutions. Experience with energy modeling software and system design tools is advantageous.Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and customer support.
