What are you going to do?
In this role, you are the lead for Sales department for Enza Zaden in SEA -South East Asia (Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan and Vietnam). You are responsible for owning the customer and ensuring (based on the strategic regional plans) optimum sales and profit, distribution, and commercial management of the Enza Zaden customer base and product portfolio in the market and within the assigned region. You lead the Sales and Marketing teams in the region and are accountable for the overall SPG sustainable profitable growth - Sales Budget/Profit & Loss – of the region, by undertaking activities to develop and expand the market and sales. You are also accountable for the sign-off of the subsidiary sales and forecast budgets.
Enza Zaden is growing fast. It's your role to co-drive the growth and work on sales strategy, team capability, and portfolio mix to identify overall strengths and areas of improvement and drive the business growth plan.
You will need to constantly define and review priorities and align with business strategies. Your Sales team are based in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Pakistan. Your key business stakeholders are from functions like product development, production, distribution, Research and Development, and finance.
Key focus areas in the role of Sales Manager SEA are:Co-creation, development, execution, and monitoring of strategic and tactical plans together with Asia Management Team.
Development of key market area for sustainable profitable growth.
Develop the right product portfolio mix, pricing and seed access for existing portfolio and provide inputs to R&D for new market trends.
Accountable for an optimal performing team, through leading, motivating, coaching, and developing your team members.
Accountable for the collection of market and customer data within the region.
You are a driven, analytical, and strategic salesperson who aspires to lead and deliver and easily oversees complex situations in an international context. You're experienced in working in an international organization and overseeing a regional multinational scope. Working with senior managers, building your own plan and creating sponsorship and leading change are a few of your key capabilities. In being part of a highly diverse team, you're able to deal with people at all levels of the organization. Building connections, working together, and ensuring objectives are realized is what motivates you.
You have at least five years of experience in leading the business and commercial function in the vegetable seed or related agriculture industry. Good business acumen and ability to proactively offer recommendations and solutions to clients. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team and ensure sales strategies are effectively translated.
In short, you:Have at least 15 years of professional experience in the Vegetable seed industry and commercial functions with managerial positions in an international context and hold a university degree.
Have experience in multi-country (SEA) and multi-cultural work environment.
Have an analytical and strategic mindset.
Have proven stakeholder management capabilities at all levels, and you know how to make an impact and influence regional senior management and build long term relations.
Are a team player with high integrity with a personal and professional point of view.
Are proficient in the English language.
Live in or are willing to relocate to Malaysia (Penang).
