Security And Safety Manager

Lead the Security and Safety Division by setting strategic objectives, developing and implementing security strategies to mitigate risks, enhance personnel safety, and protect assets.
Represent security and safety matters to senior management, external stakeholders, and government authorities, while managing and mentoring a team of security professionals.
Security Management:
Develop, implement, and review physical security protocols and systems (access control, surveillance, alarm systems) while coordinating security operations across multiple locations.
Oversee emergency response planning for incidents (fire, natural disasters, workplace violence) and manage relationships with security service providers and external contractors, ensuring compliance with agreements and regulations.
Safety Programs and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, fire safety, environmental safety) and develop a health and safety program to prevent accidents, including employee training.
Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, drills, and investigate incidents to implement corrective measures and ensure preparedness for emergencies.
Security Technology & Innovation:
Stay updated on the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices to improve security and safety protocols.
Evaluate and implement innovative technologies and systems (e.g., surveillance, fire detection, access management) to enhance organizational safety.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the annual budget for the security and safety division, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Monitor expenses and financial performance, adjusting as needed to stay within budget while maintaining effective security measures.
Training and Awareness:
Establish regular security and safety training for employees, contractors, and vendors, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring policies are understood and followed.
Organize security drills and simulation exercises to test readiness and response times.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of security incidents, safety audits, compliance reports, and provide regular updates to senior management on security activities, threats, and performance metrics.
Ensure proper documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
Job Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
At least8-10 yearsof work experience in security, safety, or risk management roles, or in police force, with a minimum of5 years in a leadership position .
Experience in developing and implementing security strategies, managing crises, and ensuring compliance.
Strong communication skills, leadership skills, team-building, and people management skills.
Strong understanding of security technologies, safety protocols, industry regulations, physical security systems, risk assessment tools, and emergency management protocols.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and make sound decisions in crisis situations.
Knowledge of relevant security and safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA, etc.).
