Position Overview
Eastfound Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly experiencedSenior Accountantspecializing inCostingandSAP . This role requires a professional who can manage the company's financial operations, with a strong focus on cost accounting, financial management, tax compliance, and regional support. Immediate availability is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Costing and Financial Analysis:Manage and oversee all cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost allocation.
Analyze manufacturing costs, margins, and profitability to support business decision-making.
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation.Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Malaysian accounting standards.
Handle month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial statements and reports.
Assist the Finance Director and General Manager in preparing the annual financial plan and control standards according to the company's medium- and long-term business plans.
Optimize financial processes and standardize financial operations in collaboration with the Finance Director.
Establish and improve the financial management system, manage accounting staff, and oversee daily financial operations.
Prepare financial statements and analysis reports to support decision-making, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness in reflecting the company's financial and operational conditions.
Tax Compliance:Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings, including SST, income tax, and other statutory requirements in Malaysia.
Stay updated on changes to Malaysian tax regulations and ensure company compliance.
Support tax planning and identify opportunities for tax savings.
Develop tax strategies to reduce risks, ensure compliance, and provide tax advice to management.
Oversee and review tax calculations and payments, guide tax accountants, and forecast tax payment needs to ensure timely fund allocation.SAP Implementation and Management:Utilize SAP to manage and report on financial data, ensuring the system is used effectively to optimize accounting processes.
Support the integration of costing modules within SAP, ensuring accurate data input and alignment with business operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related accounting issues in collaboration with the IT team.Regional Support:Collaborate with teams to manage Singapore accounting and tax matters, if applicable.
Assist in ensuring compliance with Singapore regulations where relevant.Internal and External Communication:Serve as a liaison between the Malaysia office and the China headquarters team, ensuring clear communication and efficient processes.
Provide financial insights and reports to the China HQ as required.General Accounting Tasks:Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
Conduct reconciliations of bank statements and ledgers.
Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.Requirements:
Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.Work Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on costing, financial analysis, and tax compliance.
Strong background in manufacturing or similar industries is preferred.Technical Skills:Advanced knowledge of SAP, specifically in costing and finance modules.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and IFRS.Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
