Job Responsibilities:
Monthly Financial and Management Reports
Handle the full set of accounts of a group of companies and ensure month-end closing deadlines are met.
Generate the monthly financial statement in accordance with IFRS and reporting package on time.
Responsible for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of operations in the general ledger, fixed asset and intercompany accounts, as well as treasury transactions and bank reconciliations.
Perform other accounting/finance related duties or tasks as assigned from time to time.
Supervise accounts executive in relation to full set of accounts, including review journal entries, schedules, reconciliation.
Statutory Compliance/Internal control environment
Prepare audit schedules related to General Ledger and Taxation to facilitate year-end audit exercise to ensure timely submission of audited financial statements to SSM and tax agent for tax filing purposes.
Assist with corporate income tax filing, WHT tax matters, and annual tax estimation.
Prepare detailed analysis for Annual Tax Computation for submission to a tax agent and LHDN.
Liaise with auditors, tax agent, company secretary, and relevant parties for statutory and legislative requirements.
Treasury and Banking
Process payments for suppliers.
Assist in managing and monitoring cash flows.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, ACCA or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in general accounting or related fields.
Good knowledge of accounting standards, especially IFRS and tax related issues.
Meticulous with good attention to details, efficient, strong analytical skills.
Good communication skills, a team player with a high level of independence and able to perform multitasking.
