The role is encouraged to evolve rapidly through experience of a fast-paced multinational environment, dynamic business initiatives and continuous process improvement & automation.Reporting to GL & Consolidation manager, you will focus on financial accounting and reporting for US GAAP close and consolidation process.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Book intercompany related transactions.
Reconcile intercompany transactions for consolidation purposes.
Coordinate with global Western Digital entities to resolve intercompany related issues.
Deliver training and provide accounting guidance to global Western Digital entities on the intercompany process.
Perform consolidation process and reconcile data among ERP and Reporting systems.
Publish Consolidated financial statements.
Manage global Account Reconciliation Tool.
Lead or assist Intercompany, GL and consolidation related system integration or automation projects to improve functional efficiency.
Perform month-end close activities including preparing and reviewing journal entries.
Prepare and present monthly account reconciliations.
Explore potential areas for process harmonization/improvement and recommend suitable changes to management.
Prepare process documentation training between different teams and facilitate meetings and discussions.
Assist internal / external audits relating to GL, intercompany and other SOX requirements.
Assist Consolidation Manager with ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
This position requires a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with 6 or more years of relevant experience in big 4 or multinational company.
The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
Superior analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work well with multiple teams and different cultures.
Outstanding performer and obtain recognition in current job is preferred.
Shared service experience is preferred.
Preferred:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English is a must.
Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people as a team member.
Strong ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, as well as to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Skills
Familiar with Oracle Cloud or similar ERP system.
A professional certification holder (such as CPA, ACCA, etc.)
is a plus.
Experience with Intercompany and consolidation accounting is preferred.
