About The Role
As aSenior Business Analystin our brand newRegional Hub / Shared Services Centre (SSC)inMid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur , you will have the opportunity to play a role in acting as the liaison between the business departments and the IT department. It provides input on business cases in support of projects, contributes to and facilitates business process (re-)modelling, participates or coordinates business process change projects with emphasis on the IT activities. It acts as a consultant and reviews documents within business project teams.
The Solutions / Business Analyst is part of a global IT team responsible for providing IT solutions for business demands. This includes ERP changes, upgrades and implementation projects for Hyva colleagues and companies around the world.
The Solutions / Business Analyst – Finance role focuses on the Finance business processes.
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Translate business requirements into IT application solutions, functionally
Initiate, analyze and design changes, extensions and improvements for the functionality of the ERP systems and other business applications
Main focus will be on finance processes, but other business processes like supply chain, manufacturing, HR, E-commerce, Sales, can also require attention
Be the point of contact for (global) business process owners to the IT organization
Open and maintain lines of communication to proactively monitor and improve finance business processes and business departments satisfaction with IT
This includes the processes in functional areas such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Tax, Financial reporting and Master Data
Responsible for the functional configuration design of ERP systems and other business applications, related to implementation and improvement projects
Participate in business process design sessions, acting as a documentarian, facilitator or subject matter expert, including designing KPIs to measure business process efficiency and business compliancy
Participate in root cause analysis to recommend product enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity and suggest improvements for both the business units and IT
Conduct interviews, to assist on business cases for business projects or create business cases for IT projects. Conduct preliminary investigation (IT assessment) for project requests: Review, get and clarify requirements, estimate required resources
Make specifications, design and test configuration settings, test solutions, make & participate in training plans to ensure they are in line with business objectives
Follow and participate in the change management policy by documenting and explaining requested changes, and to review other requested changes.
Project coordination: Make project plan for IT, coordinate activities on defined IT deliverables of business projects, report to management
Coordinate implementations with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Design interfaces between applications
2nd line user support activities
Write and update documentation for support colleagues, for end user work instructions
Report activities, progress on changes and projects to management
Collaborate with the IT technical colleagues from the Application team to translate the functional design into a technical working solution. Collaborate with other IT subdepartments e.g. Infrastructure and BI/data for changes and projects
In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders (internally with Global Business Process Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Key Users; externally with ERP Implementation Partner & other IT suppliers) across the business including our Global functions teams in Netherlands & other parts of the world.
Our Regional Hub supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.
You will be joining a newly formed Shared Services Centre team, with opportunities to grow, within Solutions or wider Global IT team.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
5 – 8 years of relevant working experience with Finance-related business operations systems
Hands-on knowledge and experience with a major ERP solution (preferably InforLN)
Project experience/project management methodology knowledge (PRINCE2)
Excellent understanding of ERP systems
High accuracy level
Teamwork: Ability to work with a global team to establish department and project goals
Analyzing business processes through key indicators
Ability to think and analyze across multiple applications
Ability to look an improve at processes from a customer / user perspective
Ability to connect stakeholders using organizational awareness
Culturally sensitive
Maintaining confidentiality
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Nice To Have
Knowledge or/and experience in InforLN is preferred
Certification in technologies / applications would be a big plus point
Language
Good written and spoken English & Mandarin Chinese are essential (needs to liaise with Greater China stakeholders) –Mandarin writing ability is advantageous however not mandatory
Qualification / Education
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
Professional Project Management certification would be a big plus point
