Senior Business Development Manager – Process Plants APACThe purpose of the Senior Business Development Manager is to drive sustainable growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.
This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities in the chemical, petrochemical, bio- and emerging industries, while also maintaining relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
The Senior Business Development Manager will represent the Process Plants (PP) BU at industry conferences, trade fairs, and networking events.
This not only involves showcasing the company's offerings, but also gathering insights, spotting trends, and making connections that can drive future business that aligns with Sulzer/Chemtech's Ambitions 2028 vision and goals.
Main accountabilities and tasksDevelop and implement business development strategies to achieve company goals.
Lead efforts to acquire new clients and maintain relationships with existing ones.
Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats.
Manage large sales contracts and external partnership agreements.
Establish and manage strategic partnerships and alliances.
Monitor and report on business development performance metrics.
Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, product) to drive business growth.
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the field of chemicals & fuels from renewables & circular feedstocks.
Represent the company at conferences, trade fairs, and networking events.
Work experience:>9 years
Expertise:Profound experience in developing early-stage customers into partners and/or developing these into sales projects, market development, and application/portfolio management.
Solid experience working with cross-functional and multicultural teams in sales, applications/product, and/or business development.
>5-7 years as a technical sales manager, market/business development manager in the field of process solutions for bio-chemicals and/or bio-fuels and/or renewable/circular industries.
Education:Level: Master Subject: Chemical Engineering
Languages:English, + any other languages
Soft skills:Technical and business savvy, team player, good communication skills.
