Senior Drafter / Drafter

Main Responsibilities Draw and design pattern pieces using traditional hand-drawing methods based on production sheet sketches.Drape and pin material on dummies to achieve correctfit.Alter and shape standard patternblocks into specificstyles.Modify non-standard patternbases from the company's patternlibrary.Cut out patternpieces with detailsfor sample and stock garments.Understand and translate designs into technical specifications, pattern pieces,and toiles.Suggest improvements to design constructions.Collaborate with designers, cutters, and tailors on design creation, including fitting, detailing, and adaptations.Grade pattern piecesinto different sizes.Fit and study customer garmentsto determine requiredalterations.Perform garment alterations such as tapering pant legs, narrowing lapels, and adjusting padding.Check and correct pattern pieces before passing to the cutter or outsource production team.Cut and sew sample garmentsusing muslin.Record customer body measurements (bust,waist, hip, etc.).Arrange and store extra unusedfabrics from customorders.Organize pattern pieces by style and season/collection in labeled boxes and cupboards.
