SENIOR ENGINEER (PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT)Contract/Temp
Responsibilities:
Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in water supply engineering.
Monitor the performance metrics for the department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes for all yearly department KPI's achievement.
Prepare and manage the department's annual budget and utilize the allocated budgets.
Identify and plan projects for new development, water resources, infrastructure works, and pipe replacement.
Ensure sufficient treated water for new development.
Ensure the monthly submission of claims by consultants/contractors/vendors and minimize Extensions of Time (EOT) and Variation Orders (VO) for all project contracts (consultancy) with genuine justification.
Check and process all planning permission according to WSIA and Uniform Technical Guidelines (SPAN UTG).
Coordinate and monitor to achieve targeted objectives on major projects funded by Federal (Ministry) and Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB).
Safeguard PBA interests in the EIA Technical Review Committee (EIATC).
Effectively address and resolve issues raised by the Internal Audit Department.
Mentorship of junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the department.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and approved by Malaysian Government.
Minimum 4 years working experience in related field.
Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a graduate Engineer would be an added advantage.
Proficient in both written and spoken in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude, highly initiative and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Possess ability to work under pressure, tight schedules and in stringent environment.
Position offered is contract for one (1) year prior to absorption into permanent posts and subject to job performance.
