SR. EXECUTIVE (CREDIT CONTROLLER), FINANCE SECTION
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the assessment, establishment, and implementation of effective credit control processes to ensure healthy cash flow and minimize bad debt to contribute to the company's operational and financial stability.
Assist in monitoring overdue invoices and support the negotiation of payment plans in collaboration with the sales team.
Collect and prepare financial reports to summarize the status of accounts receivable and provide insights that improve the company's credit control efforts.
Help assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers using various credit assessment tools.
Assist in the establishment and monitoring of the Trade Credit Insurance Program to help mitigate potential losses from customer defaults due to insolvency or political risks.
Advise on appropriate customer credit limits based on risk assessments, develop strategies to reduce late payments, implement collection actions, and maintain accurate credit files.
Support the monitoring of internal service standards related to credit management activities.
Help oversee and manage credit control processes to ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures.
Work closely with the Sales Team and Debt Recovery Unit to ensure alignment of credit policies with business objectives while maintaining positive working relationships.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to credit control and propose process enhancements or systems improvements when necessary.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS :
Degree in Finance / Accounting / related field with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the related field.
A member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of credit control principles, practices and regulation in Malaysia.
Proficiency in using financial software and credit management tools.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial information, perform risk assessments and make informed credit decisions.
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Able to work both independently and in a team.
Self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Strong business acumen with ability to multi-task and experience in handling complex projects.
Good report writing skills.
