Senior Executive - Legal

Details of the offer

-Assist and support immediate superior in all legal matters including conveyance, corporate, commercial, intellectual property, dispute resolution and corporate governance related matters for the Group as well as its subsidiaries.


-Vet, draft and review agreements/contracts and other legal documents and provide legal opinion based on business needs and Group's interest and in accordance with the Group's policies and procedures, applicable laws.


-Provide legal support on the business activities of the Group as well as its subsidiaries.


-Ensure proper execution of contracts, agreements and legal documents.


-Ensure proper management and administration of legal documents.


-Conduct necessary legal research to keep abreast of applicable laws and regulations, and ensure compliance and observance of corporate governance.


-Assist immediate superior in all assigned works and follow up promptly. 


-Support immediate superior in liaising with external lawyer and other external parties on all legal matters.


-Perform any other tasks assigned related to the job from time to time.

; Requirements:-


-Minimum LL.B or Bachelor of Laws or equivalent from reputable institutions. 


-Admitted to the Malaysian Bar or other equivalent.


-Min. 2 to 3 years of working experience in legal firms or in-house counsel. 


-Ability to review and draft contracts, letters and documents with respect to various fields including corporate, commercial and conveyancing. 


-Ability to present credible legal solutions to internal stakeholders of diverse backgrounds, with the use of strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


-Ability to review and advise on intellectual property issues for the supported business and matters.


-Ability to perform legal research and support to ensure compliance and optimise efficiencies in the business operations.


-Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external counsels and advisors.


-Proactive, resourceful, strong follow up and able to work independently and as a team.


-Be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.


-High ethical standards and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.


-Good command of English and Malay (spoken and written).
