About the Role: As a Senior Executive for Payroll & Compensation and Benefits, you will play a pivotal role in managing payroll operations, ensuring compliance with Malaysian laws and regulations, and supporting various HR functions related to compensation and benefits. Your responsibilities will include overseeing payroll processing, collaborating with government agencies, introducing process improvements, and supporting the Rewards Manager in salary reviews, insurance renewals, and other initiatives. Additionally, you will engage in market analysis to maintain competitiveness and provide support to employees on HR-related matters.
Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management:Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including wages, bonuses, deductions, and statutory filings, in compliance with Malaysian laws and regulations.Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.Maintain payroll documentation and employee personal files in an orderly manner, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.Liaise with HRMS Vendor to ensure smooth functioning of the payroll processing system. 2.  Compliance and Government Liaison: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices, providing support during audits by statutory bodies such as the Inland Revenue Department.Liaise with government agencies such as Inland Revenue, EPF, and SOCSO to address payroll-related matters. 3.  Process Improvement: Introduce new ideas and improvement plans to enhance payroll processes, efficiency, and accuracy.Establish and maintain appropriate filing and information flow systems to support payroll operations. 4.  Compensation and Benefits Support: Support the Rewards Manager in annual salary reviews, bonus exercises, insurance renewals, and staff welfare initiatives.Participate in market surveys and benchmarking to analyze data and improve internal equity and market competitiveness.Coordinate compensation and benefits processes such as salary planning, bonus planning, and introducing new benefits.5.  HR Collaboration and Employee Support: Partner with the HR team on various projects related to compensation, benefits, performance management, and data analytics.Address employee queries and concerns regarding payroll, compensation, and benefits.Conduct negotiations with insurance companies and manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance and leaves.6.  Budgeting and Analysis: Prepare annual budgets for Finance submissionConduct market analysis and stay updated on labor trends, market practices, and statutory requirements.Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.More than 5 years of experience in payroll management, compensation and benefits administration.Proficiency in Malaysian labor laws and regulations pertaining to payroll and benefits.Experience in liaising with government agencies such as the Inland Revenue Department, EPF, and SOCSO.Familiarity with HRMS systems and payroll software. Experienced in handling Rymnet system will be an advantage.Strong Microsoft Office skills with proficient use in Excel especially using Vlookup and Pivot.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
